I installed a fresh Ubuntu 22.04 with German (de_DE) language setting and then used the Ubuntu Software application to install digikam 7.8.0.
When starting digikam, its user interface is mostly in english, although some buttons like full “screen mode” are translated into German. Menu “Settings” > “Configure language” is translated (“Sprache einrichten”), but in that language selection dialog only US-english (en_US) may be selected. There are no other languages available.
Is the snap missing the translations?
