Dbeaver-ce 21.1.5.202108160727 problems

The latest update of dbeaver-ce 21.1.5 released today seems to be pretty messed up. List of problems I had:

  • Installing it removed the favorite I had pinned to my application bar.
  • Searching for dbeaver the app doesn’t find anything. If you manually run dbeaver-ce from the command line it works, but then it chooses a different workspace from the previous version and you lose all your settings.

Anyone else? I can’t see a way to revert to the previous version for the time being, either.

Any suggested workarounds?

you can always use the snap revert ... command to go back to the former version until this got fixed …

it might also make sense to submit the output of snap changes to the issue (and if there is an error also the output of snap change <change id> for this particular task)

Thanks for the tips - I learned a bit more about snap package management due to this. The maintainer has updated and fixed the issue, but now I’ve got a way to revert to a previous version if necessary.
