A customer wants to customize the pi3 boot splash.
As I understand it, a uboot approach is not good enough since the splash disappears too quickly.
There’s a bug [1] discussing an approach that would allow adding the boot splash image via your gadget, and it would get baked into the initrd which would be able to display it (hand-waving the details ;).
This post is to request consideration for this be scheduled for commercialization purposes.
