OpenRA has two main release tracks: the mainline stable release and their “playtest” release.
Until now I have been doing a method where I kept the playtests in the edge channel but I think it would be better to split the playtest out into it’s own track to let gamers have more control over which version they’re installing.
My goal is to run the two tracks in parallel with the latest track continuing to serve the stable releases and the playtest track holding the in-development test releases that upstream releases regularly to get player feedback before the full release is made. The playtest is also more long-lived than a snap branch would imply so using something like `latest/stable/playtest-yyyymmdd’ branches is not appropriate.
