Core Won't install

Hello, I wanted to run the command “sudo apt install core” But the following error message appeared:

“error: system does not fully support snapd: cannot mount squashfs image using” squashfs" : mount : /tmp/syscheck-mountpoint-2144821669: mount failed: Operation not permitted."

I’m new to this so I know absolutely nothing about it, but if anyone wants to help me I’d like someone to tell me why it doesn’t work, thanks.

First of all you should tell us all more about your system, run the snap version command and copy/paste the whole output here (please put three backticks (```) in the lines above and below pasted code, that way the formatting stays intact)…

The output of

journalctl --no-pager -u snapd

might also be helpful
