Control hdmi cec from snap in ubuntu core kiosk with cron job

I’m seeking for an option to switch a connected hdmi tv screen on and off. The device runs Ubuntu Core and an Electron signage kiosk and the screen should be turned off at night via a cron job.

i am using libcec in a kodi-pi snap and found that the versions in the archive are actually missing some bits, so i had to build libcec from source using its own part in snapcraft.yaml …

Thanks, I think that might be it. You do use on of their adapters in your setup then, right?

kodi emulates a pulse8 CEC adapter to hand through remote events from my TV, that works fine with my sony TV
