I’ve noticed this message quite a few times while using SNAPCRAFT_BUILD_ENVIRONMENT=lxd, which is kinda confusing. Isn’t the latest/stable channel the same as the stable channel?
Yes, that is a bug/spurious message from snapd. Indeed so far stable and latest/stable are the same.
Given coming changes (Risk only channel requests vs pinned/default tracks) that heuristic check in snap should probably be done ignoring the track part of the channel.
