Change owner of Imagecraft

Please can the ownership of the Imagecraft snap be transferred to ‘Canonical’.

This is a tool to build Ubuntu images.

The snap doesn’t have a stable release yet because it still under active development. The source code is on the Canonical Github organization and built via a CD pipeline configured on the store.

Thanks!

Hey, @upils !

According to the current policy for transferring snap to Canonical you may require some more effort. Minimal requirements from us are:

  • stable release
  • have a detailed description and other metadata fields

I suppose, in some cases, we could transfer snaps to Canonical without stable release, but it would be great to provide more arguments.

Hey @drednout

Thanks for the answer.

For now this is not a big deal if it’s not under the Canonical ownership but since it is/will be a “official” tool I thought the sooner it is not associated to an employee (myself in this case) anymore the better.

Is there a place I can get the list of mandatory metadata I should had? I thought the one already defined were enough but maybe I am not looking into the right place.

Hi, Paul! We don’t have strict policy about that. Usually we check that description is comprehensible and other fields are meaningfully set.
