Can ubuntu core boot from eMMC UDA partition

eMMC has boot area partition and user data area partition, my armv7 cpu can only boot from user data area, so my question is if ubuntu core can boot from eMMC UDA partition? That means I can put gadget snap in UDA partition.
Thank you.

Ubuntu Core currently operates based on filesystem labels (i believe this is changing partially in core20) and requires a vfat for the boot partition … you can indeed push your uboot binary to an un-labeled NAND or UDA MMC partition if your hardware knows how to boot from this, but the uboot config file needs to be on a vfat labeled system-boot
