I want to announce a call for testing for the VRRTest snap. VRRTest is a small utility to test Variable Refresh Rate(VRR) capable displays on Linux.

How to install

Get it from the Snap Store

or, in a terminal:

# Install the snap #
sudo snap install vrrtest

# Launch the application #
vrrtest

What to test

  • Can you properly launch the application?
  • Can you observe tearing or other visual artifacts when using the application on a VRR-incapable display?
  • Do you notice any problems during running the application?
