Call for testing: Nextcloud snap v12.0.4snap2

Hey there everyone.

This is a cross-post from the Nextcloud forums. We’re about to release an update to the Nextcloud snap containing a number of updates mostly relating to PHP, including:

  • Update to 7.1.13
  • Freetype support
  • LDAP support
  • PCNTL support

It’s a relatively low-risk release, but we could still use some help kicking its tires. If you want in, use the candidate channel:

sudo snap install --candidate nextcloud

If you already have it installed, refresh to it:

sudo snap refresh --candidate nextcloud

We’ve put together some smoke tests to help you really give it a workout:

Please test as much as you can, and let me know if you have any questions or run into any issues.

Does this add voice-conferencing aswell @kyrofa ?

I’m afraid not. The article to which you refer neglects to mention that Nextcloud Talk is only compatible with Nextcloud 13, which is not yet stable. You can test it out using the 13/candidate channel if you like, but that’s not this call for testing :smiley: .
