As proposed by the template provided by snapcrafters, I am now posting a call for testing for my newly created snap for SeriousSamClassic

For build I used Debian 10/Mate. In it, I do not see desktop snap application files in the application menu. But desktop files are created correctly.

Edit:

I rechecked the installation in Fedora 39 Workstation. desktop files install fine.

In Debian 10/Mate, after adding the path /var/lib/snapd/desktop to the XDG_DATA_DIRS variable in the file /etc/X11/Xsession.d/55mate-session_materc, desktop files are now displayed in the applications menu.
