I was managing to build Chromium fine with Snapcraft, but for no apparent reason it now gets stuck at random points of the build.
I remembered a similar problem that Launchpad build farm hit and solved it by moving back to LXD 5.0; I did so too, but to no avail.
The current “running” build is stuck since many hours ago:

It’s weird because upon giving up with Ctrl+C, nothing shows up (despite building with --verbosity=trace
), and I’m pretty sure it did before.
The system has enough disk space:
