Auto-connecting the “power-control” interface for the “lenovo-wwan-dpr” snap

Hello Reviewers,

This is regarding manual approval for auto-connect for below interface in “lenovo-wwan-dpr” Snap:

  • power-control

“lenovo-wwan-dpr” SNAP is for DPR (dynamic power reduction) functionality required for WWAN feature.

Reason for approval :

For power-control:

When correct SAR value is set in WWAN module then WWAN device is rebooted . This issue occurs before WWAN device reboot.

Issue Log: “audit: type=1400 audit(1643172640.358:251): apparmor=“DENIED” operation=“open” profile=“snap.lenovo-wwan-dpr.wwan-dpr” name=”/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1c.0/0000:08:00.0/power/control" pid=9815 comm=“DPR_em120_servi” requested_mask=“w” denied_mask=“w” fsuid=0 ouid=0"

Can you please provide manual permission and let me know, if any information is needed.

Thanks & Regards, Nitin Joshi

As power control of this device is the primary function of this snap, auto-connect of the power-control interface seems quite logical. +1 from me.

+1 from me for auto-connect power-control to lenovo-wwan-dpr since its clearly required for the core functionality of the app. +2 votes for, 0 votes against. Granting auto-connect of power-control to lenovo-wwan-dpr. This is now live.

@nitin_exclusively I don’t see the latest revision is yet plugging this interface so please let me know if for any reason you are not willing to add this plug to lenovo-wwan-dpr.

Thanks!

@emitorino Thank you for approval and apologize for my late reply. We will add this plug to ‘lenovo-wwan-dpr’ in next few release, as currently, we are waiting for ‘carrier certification’ before releasing it for users. Thank you
