Hi,
I’d like to request that hardware-observe
and u2f-devices
autoconnect for the proton-mail
snap. This snap is an email client for Proton Mail, and part of the sign-in process includes a 2FA step, which may either be a security key or an authenticator code. It would make sense for the snap to provide this functionality out of the box, and the application requires these two connections for that to work.
+1 from me for granting proton-mail
auto-connection to hardware-observe
and u2f-devices
as it would enable use of u2f out of the box
+1 from me too - this is a standard use-case the should be supported out-of-the-box and so auto-connect of hardware-observe
and u2f-devices
seems quite appropriate.
Having hardware-observe and u2f-devices autoconnect would save users a step and make the 2FA process smoother. If the snap relies on those permissions for security keys and auth codes, they should definitely be on by default.
@policy-reviewers can the request be granted? I see there’s two votes for it
Hey @pedro-avalos
With two votes we still need to wait until the end of the voting period (which is 7 days). Request can only be fast-tracked with +3 for, 0 against.
Ah, I didn’t know that, thank you!
+2 for, 0 against. Granting auto-connect of hardware-observe
and u2f-devices
interfaces to this snap. This is now live
thanks
