Auto connect request for pocketvms

Hello again, I’m back with another store request, this time for Pocket VMs.

Pocket VMs is a QEMU frontend, originally developed for powerhorse devices running Ubuntu Touch. As such it features a convergent UI, 3D graphics acceleration, file sharing and more.

I request permission for auto-connection for two interfaces:

  • kvm: Enable QEMU to work with accelerated virtualization using KVM instead of falling back to emulation
  • userns: The file sharing mechanism virtiofsd requires unshare to work

the requirement is clear, therefore +1 from me as well for auto-connect of kvm and userns interfaces to pocketvms snap. Thanks.

Good news, I’ve been able to avoid the userns requirement inside virtiofsd, so the only interface in question is kvm.

@beidl thanks for the update. In that case I’ll only consider granting kvm.
