All my snap apps are not launching

I restored my computer from backup, everything works well except snap apps, none of it is launching. What can I do to get it working?

Your computer is in a strange state and you need to tell us more before we can help.

What parts of the system did you restore from backup? What tools did you use for backup & restore? What error message do you get running snapped applications?

I restored the entire system using timeshift. All the .deb apps are working as usual. I reinstalled snapd, still not working. It is just not launching, no error message. sudo snap refresh run successfully.

So, assuming you have the Firefox snap installed, you get no output from running this?

It is working now, these were the steps I took that resolves it:

  • Re-install snapd via sudo apt reinstall snapd
  • Refresh the snaps vi sudo snap refresh
  • Reboot
  • Disable, enable all the installed snaps, one after another
