+1 for all three aliases. None of which appear to be widely / commonly used.
I can confirm Will Faris works for Google on the Google Cloud SDK team. I met with him yesterday to discuss the creation of the google-cloud-sdk
.
The aliases requested are the well documented tools from Google Cloud SDK.
bq
does not exist as an executable in any package in the Xenial or Bionic archives.gcloud
does not exist as an executable in any package in the Xenial or Bionic archives.I think it is unlikely that users will have both the gsutil
deb and google-cloud-sdk
snap installed. For example, there are only 30 Debian users with the gsutil deb installed.
In conclusion, this is a +1 from me.
+1 from me as well. Only 4 days have passed for this request so need to wait the 7 days before tallying the votes.
Cool, I will keep an eye out and verify they are working then. (aliases not working now as expected).
3 votes for, 0 against. Granting use of the alias to the snap. This is now live.
