I would like to request an automatic alias pi for the pi-coding-agent

  • name: pi-coding-agent
  • description: description of the snap
  • snapcraft: snapcraft.yaml
  • aliases:
    • alias1: pi-coding-agent.pi → pi
    • reasoning: The requested alias, pi, aligns with how the Pi coding agent is referred to in its official documentation, across the internet, and by its user base. While I was unable to register the snap name pi because it is already taken by the Pi gadget snap, that gadget does not ship any applications and will not cause command conflicts. Therefore, granting the automatic alias pi-coding-agent.pi → pi is the next best alternative to ensure a good user experience immediately after installation.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no existing snap alias already granted or a well-known Linux application conflicting with the aliases requested here.

Hey folks!

Usually we don’t grant two letter aliases, however in this case I think pi has gained enough popularity over the past few years to make an exception. +1 also from me
