To the best of my knowledge, there is no existing snap alias already granted or a well-known Linux application conflicting with the aliases requested here.

If I’m not mistaken, to do what you want, you can simply replace the “copilot” app with “copilot-cli”, like this:

apps:
  copilot-cli:

Edit: I had misunderstood what you were trying to do.

Hey @Kyuyrii , what I want is to simple use copilot instead of copilot-cli.copilot. What you suggested would only change the current exec to be copilot-cli.copilot-cli

Actually, I would change it to just copilot-cli.

When the app has the same name as the Snap package, it can be run using the Snap package name.

Hello @pfsmorigo!

This is a +1 (#voteFor) from me to allow the use of the copilot alias for the copilot-cli snap.

I did find there is an AWS copilot CLI, but that is going EOS this June, and I believe the vast majority of users would expect copilot to reference Github copilot.

Hi @pfsmorigo, +1 (#voteFor) from me. I’ve checked and there are no other snaps or deb packages currently using the name copilot.
