[WIP] Refresh App Awareness

I haven’t read this entire conversation (just the most recent few messages), but I just wanted to point out that the command snap refresh firefox (for example) is extremely misleading as it suggests that Firefox will be reinstalled. Is there any reason why the command snap refresh was chosen instead of, for example, snap upgrade (to match the equivalent apt command)

PS: I hope this is a good place to ask this

Any improvements yet?

it’s really getting frustrating.

Specifically the Snap Store and the way it doesn’t allow itself to be updated without using the terminal(or waiting until 14 days of notifications are over) is a major confusion point for people I introduced to Ubuntu.

I received this picture(installing of updates failed) of a non-technical background friend today and he had no idea what to do to solve it because pressing the update buttons just returned this error:

I suggest to add buttons to the snap notifications to make the user able to choose whether to update the snaps/snap store directly or some sort of remind-me-tomorrow (14 days left until auto-update) button.
