Version-pattern removal for MAAS 3.8 track

Hi there,

after 3.8 tracks for maas and maas-test-db , we created the 3.8 snap track with a version pattern of 3\.8\..*, but this doesn’t seem the correct way to do it: I can’t promote snaps since they are trying to match 3\\.8\\..* from what I see based on the request error.

Checking snapcraft tracks maas, I see that 3.6 and 3.7 didn’t have version patterns, so I want to request removal of the version pattern for 3.8. (It is not clear if I can do it myself : /)

The version pattern has been removed for track 3.8 for both the snaps maas and maas-test-db.
