Using latest core?

I have a couple of snaps and it can go years between updates.

Since snap is evolving it’s not uncommon that I have to make some changes to them in order for them to work.

But when they are working as it is, should I always use the latest core when building, if so why?

For how long will core22 for example be supported?

Support for the bases follows the corresponding LTS release. So core22 has a couple of years of standard support before ESM is needed. Here is an explanation:
