Given how targeted the fix is and how big the impact we are consdering to release today
Has a fix been released? How do I install it?
I’ve been having problems with Firefox and Chromium not starting on Ubuntu 22.04 and needing a reboot several times to get them working, for months now.
As of last week I have to run
sudo service snapd.apparmor start
after every reboot to get these two applications running at all.
I’m technical but not an OS programmer. I have no idea why it’s broken or why this command patches it after every reboot. I just googled for days until I found something that got my Firefox and Chromium working again without totally breaking my installation.
Will a full reinstall fix it? I’ve been considering starting over completely if that takes care of it. I’m not in a position to endlessly tweak things to keep them running. I’d rather wipe the slate clean than toy with it endlessly.
Thanks.
