There is currently no standardized installation method for Unreal Engine 5. It’s just a .zip
file.
Since it’s already massive and (considering its installation method) doesn’t currently depend upon many system libraries, this would be a time for snap
to shine, because it’s exactly when a more standardized containerized installer is useful.

However, Canonical is significantly better poised to remediate this.
It has been years at this point, i hope it’s progressing though. Would love to know the details on what’s keeping this from being snapped.

@dziadulewicz, to my knowledge, nobody’s tried. However, I imagine that it would need to be --classic
(which requires slight co-ordination with Canonical), and, irrespective, would require soem serious wrangling around the sandbox.
