Hi, I am running on pure core system with ubuntu-frame 24 installed. Any helpers on what creates that black area and icon on the left? This was not the case previous versions. How can I disable it?
That looks like the new kiosk launcher, though it should not “just show up” after an update if you did not ask for it explicitly in the config, perhaps @alan_g has an idea why it does…
What is the output from:
snap get ubuntu-frame
root@srly-zjivkq4xpzfui4u:/home/pi# snap get ubuntu-frame

Launcher is set to false from what I see.
Hi @sborokov, how about snap services ubuntu-frame
? Might be the launcher
setting got out of sync with the service, you can always disable it with:
snap stop --disable ubuntu-frame.launcher
Thanks. Stopping disabling the service indeed resolves it immediately.
