Ubuntu core version mismatch in boot logs

Hi All,

I have ported ubuntu core on imx8mqevk board. While booting, I am seeing below 2 prints,

[ 7.290208] systemd[1]: Detected architecture arm64.
Welcome to Ubuntu Core 18!
[ 7.337887] systemd[1]: No hostname configured.

.

[ OK ] Started Update UTMP about System Runlevel Changes.
Ubuntu Core 16 on 192.168.1.2 (ttymxc0)
The host key fingerprints are:
.
.

Why are these 2 prints showing different ubuntu core version? What could have gone wrong?

Thanks

Hi, @ogra, @ijohnson Please let me know if you have any suggestions on this.

well, sounds like a bug to me … i’m just not sure against what package you’d file it …

This is a known bug, I think a reasonable starting point is to mark yourself as affected by this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/subiquity/+bug/1882983 and include your example (which may or may not be from subiquity I’m not sure). It’s my guess that the person who ends up fixing that bug will also know where the messages you are seeing are coming from and can fix that too.
