Ubuntu Core cannot find 'writable' partition

It looks like it does not exist:

(initramfs) lsblk --fs
/bin/sh: lsblk: not found

I can however, execute the following:

(initramfs) cat /proc/partitions
major minor #blocks name
11            0         1048575 sr0
