Requesting the the ownership of the gaming-graphics-core26 snap be transferred to Canonical, as was done for the core24 version: Transfer ownership of gaming-graphics-core24 to Canonical .

Hi,

Thanks for getting the snap ready for transfer! The metadata, bug links, and stable revisions all look good. We’re just missing an icon.

Because the snap will be listed under Canonical’s name, we want to make sure it looks as polished and official as possible. Could you add an icon when you get a chance?

We have never had icons for the gaming-graphics snaps (https://snapcraft.io/gaming-graphics-core22, https://snapcraft.io/gaming-graphics-core24). Is this a strict requirement?

Hi, yes it is :slight_smile:

To transfer ownership of a snap to under Canonical, we generally require the snap to:

  • Be well maintained
  • Has at least one revision in stable
  • Has an icon
  • All the metadata filled out (e.g. summary, description, version, license, etc.)
  • Have a valid bug report link

I would recommend making it unlisted, so it’s not searchable. The content snaps aren’t useful on their own and we do that for the others. It’s more of an implementation detail, than a snap users need to find and install. We should have basic metadata IMO, but not an icon.

Uh please don’t … (I’m just on a quest to get the other content snaps listed to be able to have them searchable from some Ubuntu Core GUI tools I work on that heavily rely on being able to find things in the store)
