I just heard back from the development team responsible for netplan, and they said it’s too late to be considered for the 18.04 time-frame, so unless someone else steps up to the plate, it’s looking more like an 18.10 feature. That said, I’m pretty sure this is something that could be SRU’d into 18.04 if necessary.
Is it possible to configure netplan to cofigure a wireless network in AP mode so that it can boot without a external DHCP server?
