Spotify integration with the sound menu

I guess that this is a known issue, but since I haven’t found any information in the forum, I’m opening this. Spotify seems to integrate fairly well with the system (Ubuntu 16.04 with Unity); I can see which song is playing via native notifications:

And the media keys work as expected, but there are no controls in the sound menu: is that the expected behaviour?

OK, I just found that is a known issue:

Right now, executing this:
sudo mv /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications/spotify_spotify.desktop /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications/spotify.desktop

Acts as a workaround.
