Some snaps from snapcrafters are way out-of-date on stable releases. For example, simplenote is still on 2.10 while the app is on 2.20 last update was in May. Eclipse was updated on March 25th, 2020. Not everyone uses edge releases, some people just click install on an app and that’s it. The good thing about snaps is silent updates and the possibility to have up-to-date apps, but this seems to not be the case here.
