Does anyone know if the snapd changes log size/retention can be increased so more history is retained ?
There was a thread here that discussed to some degree, but it was a while ago.
We can craft something to regularly dump the changes log, including each change detail , into some kind of custom data store, but having snapd support this natively would be extremely beneficial.
Example usage: Some kind of snap related issue happened 2 or more days, you need to investigate the potential cause, you go to look at snap changes, but it only goes back a day. Those changes can be a really useful source of info, and even aid better with Canonical support cases [ I have real examples of those where this would have been very useful ].
Hopefully I’m just missing something, and this is already possible.
