Snapd_12707.snap

Hi I’m confused to what this is. All of the sudden I have a mounted partition of 29mb, which could be unmounted without any problems.

In gnome-disks it says : /var/lib/snapd/snaps/snapd_12707.snap (deleted) I’ve looked through what I can see under my snapd/snaps dir, and can’t find anything pointing to 12707 out of the very few packs I have.

Anyone care to explain what this is?

snapd is the tool that manages snap packages …

snap packages come as readonly squashfs filesystem images and are (unlike deb packages) never unpacked on disk but loop mounted …

snapd itself comes as a snap package, so what you see above is normal on all recent ubuntu installs since 16.04 …
