Snap-store app (App Center) not fully functional anymore!

Since a few days and after the installation of a number of Ubuntu updates, the snap-store app (App Center) is not fully functional any more. On clicking the button ‘Admin’ (or in Italian ‘Gestisci’) normally one gets an overview of all the apps that are installed (with a possibility to refine between ‘All’, ‘Snap’ or ‘Deb’ and - as far as snaps are concerned - the possibility to opt for ‘show system apps’ or not). On opening the App Center app one normally also gets an indication of (a number of) snap updates available, with a coloured number next to the ‘Admin’ button.

Since the installation of updates this part of the app does not function any more. There is no number of updatable snaps and no overview of installed apps any more. Even minutes after clicking the button nothing shows up. See the attached screen shot

I am rather sure that this problem is connected with a recent update, since I have 3 computers that – after installing updates – show the same problem. When the problem occurred on my default computer, I have immediately updated a second laptop but only after testing the function just before the update command and the App Center app was fully functional before but not after the installation. I repeated the same procedure with the 3d laptop with the same result: functional before updating and not fully functional after.

It will be clear that this is a rather disturbing problem that probably will affect many users. For those who are not familiar with terminal commands such as ‘snap refresh –list’ and ‘snap refesh’ this could signify that they are no longer informed about or aware of new updates for their apps.

The Ubuntu version is in all 3 cases Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.

I can confirm that; it happens when you click “Manage” at the bottom left.

There has been a recent update of the snap-store app (package 1390 of 7 August). I just installed it and this seems to solve the problem!! Thx.

I was also am running into this issue, but I think a recent update (as of this morning) might have fixed it.
