Hi Snap Store Team,
I am requesting a name dispute/transfer for the snap name “proximap”.
I am the original upstream developer of the Proximap application (which I currently distribute on macOS and Windows). Being completely new to Linux and the Snap ecosystem, I made a mistake when setting up my first developer account:
- I accidentally created the account using my gaming alias/nickname, which mistakenly became my public publisher name.
- I registered the name “proximap” under that account.
- When I realized the publisher name couldn’t be updated, I attempted to delete the registration, but ran into unexpected errors.
- I eventually deleted the old account entirely, hoping it would free up the name, but the name “proximap” remains locked by the store system.
I have now created this new account with my correct publisher details. Since I am the original creator and owner of the software, could an admin please transfer the ownership of the “proximap” snap name to this active account?
Please let me know if you need any verification from my official project repository, windows/macOS builds, or associated email addresses.
Thank you for your help, and sorry for the confusion!
