Snap install firefox on WSL ubuntu not launching

[1664] Wayland Proxy [0x7f598f454020] Error: CheckWaylandDisplay(): Failed to connect to Wayland display ‘/run/user/1000/snap.firefox/wayland-0’ error: No such file or directory

is this problem related to permissions ? i have tried to install firefox from several sources with reboots in between; including this site - Install firefox on Ubuntu using the Snap Store | Snapcraft ``` sudo snap install firefox

none of the installation attempts on ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS work.

Hi

On my up to date Windows 11 system running current snapd from latest/edge, I can run firefox withouy a problem. Note that I still get the wayland message but that seems to be specific to this snap.

Error: Failed to open Wayland display, fallback to X11. WAYLAND_DISPLAY='wayland-0' DISPLAY=':0'

With that I still get an x11 window with firefox running inside.
