Snap download very slow,

I’d suggest doing what @sparkiegeek suggested in a previous topic,

$ sudo systemctl edit snapd.service

[Service] Environment=SNAPD_DEBUG=1 SNAPD_DEBUG_HTTP=7

$ sudo systemctl restart snapd.service

Then inspecting the logs using $ journalctl -xeu snapd

Post what you find here if there’s nothing immediately obvious

and also what @wgrant suggested in a slightly more recent one,

Try http://www.fastly-debug.com/ , which will test your connectivity to various Fastly servers and your bandwidth to your closest one.

Where in the world are you, and which ISP are you using? What does mtr -c 10 -w -r fastly.cdn.snapcraft.io say?

as for the proxy, snapd can talk to an https proxy if you set the usual environment variables, but it doesn’t support talking directly over socks.
