Shared libraries error - Opensuse Tumbleweed

#1

Hi,
I have snap installed in 2 PC s(laptop and desktop) with same opensuse tumbleweed configuration and none of my snap apps do start and i get the same error for all apps:

“/usr/lib/snapd/snap-confine: error while loading shared libraries: libmount.so.1: failed to map segment from shared object”
I am running Kernel 4.20.6-1-default, cinnamon 3.8.9 on a ryzen 5 1600x (desktop) and intel 6700k (laptop).
I have used snap in the past on a mint linux but need guidance for troubleshooting.
Thx.

I suspect AppArmor profile may be the cause. Can you double check by grepping for DENIED in dmesg? Then, please also do grep libmount.so /etc/apparmor.d/*snap-confine and post both outputs.

Hi mborzecki,
thx to have pointed at the source of the issue: AppArmor was effectively the culprit and I had to enable a few things to get the snap Apps to work.
