We have not previously had a formal collaboration or partnership with Canonical.
We are requesting Verified Publisher status as the official developer and publisher of Scider, a proprietary desktop IDE that we are bringing to Linux through the Snap Store.
Scider is developed and maintained by our company, and the
scidersnap is the official distribution of the product maintained by our team.We are currently also requesting classic confinement for Scider because its functionality as a general-purpose IDE requires interaction with the user’s host development environment, including host-installed shells, Git, compilers, runtimes, debuggers, language tooling, build tools, and arbitrary user/project-configured commands.
Since the Scider upstream repository is private, we understand that publisher verification is required before the classic-confinement request can proceed.
We would be happy to provide any additional information required to verify our company, our relationship to Scider, or our authority to publish and maintain the
scidersnap.
