taskctl is a task runner and should be able to execute any arbitrary command user provides. Depending on the tasks people configure it may need access to any folder, network etc.
taskctl meets the requirements for classic confinement due to the need to execute arbitrary binaries from the host, and so fits in the category of “tools for local, non-root user driven configuration of/switching to development workspaces/environments”.
