Hello Snapcrafters,
I would like to ask about the current status of the restic snap.
The snap is currently owned by @bashfulrobot, but it appears it has not been updated for several years. I opened a pull request to update the snap several months ago (August 25), but I have not received any response so far.
From earlier discussions, it seems the restic snap was already intended to be migrated under the Snapcrafters organization, but that migration does not appear to have been completed.
I actively use restic in production and would be happy to help keep the snap up to date. If possible, I would like to:
- complete the migration of the snap to Snapcrafters, and
- be added as a supporter / contributor so I can help with ongoing maintenance, updates, and testing.
My goal is simply to ensure the snap remains current, reliable, and aligned with upstream restic releases, while working within the Snapcrafters maintenance model.
