This is not an entirely 1:1 fit for the category but I wanted to enqueue it in a for a review.
@jnsgruk requested that we rename the ubuntu-snaps account to just ubuntu both in the display title and in the actual account name.

+1 from me
at the moment this will have a limited group of me, @kenvandine and @zyga to determine what gets published.
Note this is inconsistent to the thread title (which suggests renaming to snaps).
Oh my, the name was supposed to be ubuntu sorry about that. I’ve just edited the title.
Hi @zyga
After discussing with other colleagues in store team, we think it is better/safer to update the username in launchpad first. Then the new username will be propogated to U1SSO and eventually to store. After that we will update a few more fields in store to make the the new username in place. Can you update the username in Launchpad and let me know when it is done?

Yes, this field needs to be updated according to previous username change requests. We don’t know if there will be any sync issues if only store username is changed. But if you don’t really care about the inconsistency between store username and LP/SSO username and are willing to take the risk, I am happy to update the store username only.
I think it’s fine to give it a try. We strongly care about the store side rather than by the sso side.
Sorry for the late response. The username ‘ubuntu‘ was taken by stephen.webb@canonical.com who already left canonical. I have to change his username to something else first. Now ubuntu-snaps’ username and display name have been updated to ‘ubuntu’. Please have a check.
Looks good from my side
I see Ubuntu as the publisher of Opencode now at https://snapcraft.io/opencode
EDIT: although weirdly ubuntu (ubuntu) published snaps in the Snap Store shows no snaps ![]()
Let me investigate
Hi, the publisher UI( ubuntu (ubuntu) published snaps in the Snap Store) is fixed now.
