I experienced the same problem as described here:

Observations:
- Changing to candidate channel didn’t fix the problem.
- It didn’t crash when I ran it in devmode.
- Removing and installing the snap fixed the problem.
What remains is the question: How can this happen? What’s the purpose of encapsulating snaps with their dependencies, when changes to the main dependency snapd(?) makes them break?
