This actually seems to be an issue with the Firefox snap, the default 18.04 Firefox works fine for me, however, the snap Firefox fails.

Thanks for re-introducing the button!
I like the iframe solution, seems like a good compromise.
I’ve filed a bug on bugzilla.mozilla.org to see if we could add more information to the Firefox “navigator” object to help us provide a neater solution to the install button.
It’s a nice solution for now! I like that the green colour of the button has come back. And that still both options (store and commandline) are accessible. Good to hear that there is more long term UX development in the pipeline as well
