Logging into build.snapcraft.io

Does anyone else find it a bit clunky logging into build.snapcraft.io? I made a screen recording but i guess i can’t upload videos. Anyways, if i go to https://build.snapcraft.io/, it always redirects me to https://snapcraft.io/build/. From there i naturally want to click “Developer account” in the top right, but that takes me to the store account. You might try clicking the “Build” link on the top menu, but that takes you back to snapcraft.io/build. The only way I’ve figured out to log in is going directly to https://build.snapcraft.io/user/[myusername]/ OR by clicking the “Set up in minutes” button.

Is there a place I could file a bug for this?

At the bottom of every page there’s a snippet like this:

Join the forum, contribute to or report problems with, snapd, Snapcraft, or this site.

The “this site” link will take you to a bug tracker for the site.

Annoying, this issue, isn’t it? I filed https://github.com/canonical-web-and-design/snapcraft.io/issues/2032 a while back and it’s been triaged as Medium, and I think it’s the same bug, or at least related.

Once you’re logged into the store account via the “developer account” link there should be a drop-down menu in the same place the “developer account” link was. Open this and choose “Build with github” to access the build system:

And the “new” way, is to click “developer account”, and then choose a snap you have set up in the store, and then navigate to the “Builds” tab:

@lucyllewy, great info. It’s so obvious now.

It sounds like this basically come down to the “Build” link on the top menu acting a bit funky. @sil, I plus one’d your issue on github. That’s exactly the issue.
