Any idea when the new version of LibreOffice (25.8.1) will be available as a snap? It seems that this new version has also advantages in terms of faster (file) loading. This could certainly be a benefit for the snap. I use the snap of LibreOffice with great pleasure, and take slower loading for granted, but of course I wouldn’t mind a gain of speed! There must be other benefits too and the existing 25.2.6 version will only be maintained by the The Document Foundation until November 2025.
I’ll try a build and, in case it is successful, open a merge request for 25.8.2.1.

Yesterday the new 25.8.2 version of LibreOffice has been made available in the latest/candidate channel of the Snap store. I have immediately installed it and have started to use various components (Writer, Calc, Impress, Base). Everything seems to function as it should! Uploading files from within the application (and not via the file manager) is indeed noticeably faster now! Thx to all of you and esp. to Nathan Theodosio for his kind willingness and availability!
