inkscape does not open files on different partition but bypass suggested for gimp does not work

error: snap “inkscape” has no plug named “removable-media”
This is an upstream bug. The inkscape developers need to add the removable-media plug to their snapcraft.yaml. Looking at their upstream repo it looks like they already added it. Perhaps they haven’t done a stable release since that was added.
