How to get debug from (or skip) Network connections configuration

I’m making a new ubuntu core port and I can now boot up to the network configuration wizard.

However the wizard fails even if I set everything to “is not configured”.

I’d like to know how I can get a better error message than “Network configuration timed out; please verify your settings.”.

Is there a way I can skip directly to a shell?

I just found “system-data/var/log/syslog”. That whole thing seems to get populated on first boot.

There’s a couple errors there, the first batch being related to apparmor.

I’ll start by fixing these and see where this takes me.
