How can i suggest ideas to redrose

@be1 if you is the developer because i found your posts fixing problems here

i liked about your project and i`m learning about abc notation

i see how this project is beggining but i would like to help with ideas how example the possiblity to import musicxml midi ly formats to abc notation

Hello @tbss1 and happy new year to you !

Yes I am the developer of redrose. Thank you for your interest in this software. You can suggest your ideas to me by different means. You can drop me an email, use the redrose issue tracker, or post your ideas with a precise description by replying to this forum thread if you prefer.

If your native language is French, you can write emails to me in this language for top most understanding .

I have short term an long term plans for redrose, but the time i can spend on it is limited. So, patience is the key word

See you.

my native language is portugue, i speak spanish and esperanto forgetting of course the english

well . firstly i whould like to ask if you want create a graphical program like how is denemo to lilypont or if your objective is only to use using the text

in my opinion will be good use redrose with abc lilypond format and others notation formats in command-line

two douts, redrose midi fails when i use the play, my second personal problem, is it possible give the option to make zoom out or zoom in ?

is my english mistakes aske me again because my englsih level is b1 maybe

I do not plan to make Redrose look like Denemo. I prefer to use raw ABC text, as many ABC users prefer.

For MIDI playing, can you tell me what are the player settings (in redrose menu) ? If unsure, click on the “reset settings” in the menu and try again to play.

About zoom in/out, this is a good idea, I will look if I can do this. Thanks for this suggestion.

Well, was good to ask before to request

To say the true i tried using an experimental ubuntu core desktop

Hahahahaj lol

But now i will try using kdeOS (linux) by kde

Other question, i know differents editors to text that supports for example markdown latex and a couple of tex languages

Is your objective to add lilypond format to redrose?

My idea will be redrose to adopt the most popular music notation to terminal

I know lilypond and abc but will be good to add more if this exists

Just a point

Frescobaldi is not working well and i do not know any alternatives

About the sound, canonical problems with the experimental version because i had problems with musescore completly

No. I want Redrose to be an ABC-only editor.

Ok

Was good to explain first fot not make mistakes in the futures

Hello, I am implementing zoom in/out, but this yields unsharp graphical output. So, I am not sure I will actually release a version with zoom in/out… So the question comes to my mind : can you explain the reason you need zoom in/out ?

About a abc doubt

Can the standard notation be extended or can the standard notation be upgraded to simple voice choral plus piano?

First, reason, big screen or small screen

Yeah, we can to use the correct resolution but can be good od bad to accessiblity

Look a dislexic user or a window manager user that always but zoom with your programs because is more confortable, want to share with anther person with more difficulty to read

Other reason, a program can be good for example with kde resolution but no with cosmic kdeclxqt and others

You can make your own layout with more voices, manually in the text editor. For example, take the SATB choir template as a basis, then add V:5 and V:6 for piano (two staves) and set graphic output as %%staves [ 1 2 3 4 ] { 5 6 }

Ok, the zoom feature is now in the latest Snap ubuntu package.

Thanks

Will be a big help to learn

Hello again, By the way, is your country Portugal or Brazil ? Would you like to translate the application into your language ? I can send you the translation file and you can send me back the file with translated text inside. I can then cite your name if you wish, inside the package source code.

well

can you make the same with the text

thanks
